Wooden Veins is a melodic doom metal band founded by seasoned Chilean musicians formerly active in Mar de Grises, Poema Arcanus, and Mourning Sun.
Originally from Chile, the members are now based across various European countries, with their headquarters in Berlin. Their sound blends classic doom metal with progressive and gothic elements, enriched by heavier textures and subtle Latin American influences.
The debut album In Finitude (2021, The Vinyl Division) received outstanding reviews, appeared on numerous “Best of 2021” lists, and was nominated for Best Metal Album at the Chilean Premios Pulsar. Their second album, Imploding Waves (2023, Ardua Music), was equally acclaimed and earned another nomination for the same award.
In 2024, Wooden Veins completed a successful European tour, performing at festivals such as Metal Gates (Rumenia), Darken the Moon (Belgium), and Under the Doom (Portugal).
March 2025 saw the release of Worlds in Silence: A Live Session from Berlin, followed in September by the single Hope, the first recording with the new lineup. These releases lead into the band’s second European tour in November and December, which includes concerts in Germany and Italy as well as appearances at festivals like Doom Over Vienna (Austria) and Dutch Doom Days (Netherlands).
